The corps received by Green Bay is to go through many changes. There is one thing that will remain the same.
Receiver Allen Lazard is back under a new agreement. According to a league source, Allen Lazard has agreed to his one-year tender deal with the team.
$3.986 million will be earned by him in 2022. By holding back until today to agree, he kept himself away from last week’s mandatory minicamp and the offseason program. By agreeing today, he stays away from the ultra-hardball move that would have minimized his salary to only 10 percent more than his 2021 salary.
It was a more evident difference between $3.986 million and $935,000. So it was a non-issue to agree upon it.
Allen Lazard comes into an agreement year. Some believe he wants to join as a free agent for the Broncos in 2023. There he will again meet with former Packers offensive coordinator
Nathaniel Hackett.
From now onwards, Allen Lazard could be the No. 1 recipient in Green Bay, especially with Davante Adams left. Allen Lazard joins Amari Rodgers, Sammy Watkins, rookie Christian Watson, and Randall Cobb as the most well-known names on the Green Bay depth chart.
