From the 2019 draft, one team in NFC West has a business request from its stars.
Another star receiver from the 2019 draft has a contract extension, but he seeks permission from his existing team.
After trading quarterback, Russell Wilson to the Broncos last month, Seattle's team was in evolution. DK Metcalf is joining the Seahawks' voluntary offseason program.
On Thursday, in a pre-draft press conference, Pete Carroll, the head coach, said to Greg Bell in The News Tribune, "is participating in Phase 1 Metcalf has shown a very optimistic approach". Carroll further said that the team hadn't started thoughtful discussions with Metcalf on his upcoming days with the team beyond 2022. As Bell is well-known, that is probably a task Seattle would tackle later in the offseason program and the interval between minicamps and training.
He added Metcalf is not playing on the ground because of his undergoing foot surgery. The Seahawks were not reporting Metcalf's business offers at the beginning of this month. In 2022 Metcalf being a former second-round pick, is surprising, making $3.986 million in 2020, setting a franchise record of 1,303 yards. Overall, Metcalf has 216 passes with 29 touchdowns for 3,170 yards.
