Raiders
While high-profile teammates like Adams sat out Thursday night's Hall of Fame game, Raiders running back Josh Jacobs got considerable playing time.
Las Vegas's
Combined with Las Vegas's decision to decline Jacobs' fifth-year option earlier this year and recent reports suggesting 2022 would be his final season at Silver and Black, head coach Josh McDaniels' deployment of his presumed RB1 led some to wonder if Jacobs was being put on display for a potential trade.
Instead, when asked why Jacobs saw so much action in a game that typically sees very few established starters, even for a short period, McDaniels said, "I always think it's good for running backs to carry the ball in the preseason.".
Jacobs
(Bonsignore writes that Jacobs has had a "dazzling" start to camp after reporting to the club in excellent form.) Plus, a game in 2023 will likely result in a compensatory draft pick anyway.
