De'Andre
De'Andre Hunter was the organizational favourite at the congested wing spot in Atlanta, so a trade to New York appeared like a chance for Cam Reddish to stand out and establish himself close to college colleague RJ Barrett. On the other hand, Reddish was dumped on the Knicks bench because Tom Thibodeau didn't want him.
Marc Berman
According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Reddish wants to leave New York in quest of a bigger career. The Lakers are a potential landing spot that is looming.
New York in January
The Post has learned that after being dealt to New York in January and initially failing to make the rotation to gain confidence, Reddish wants a change of scenery. Reddish, according to an NBA source, wants a bigger role.
Mitchell is on a three-team deal
The 6-foot-8 Reddish is a target for the Lakers, who might work with Mitchell on a three-team deal. The Knicks might strike a separate agreement with Los Angeles if they aren't involved, perhaps to recover a first-round selection they lost in a Utah scenario.
The NBA source claimed, "The Knicks didn't have a plan for him." They acquired him in a deal without one and remained without one. He wishes there was someplace with a bigger opportunity.
The Jazz are not overly concerned
The Jazz are not overly concerned about what players are returned to them in this deal, especially because the now-extended RJ Barrett is most certainly out of the running (it still may work with him, but it would be more difficult due to a poison pill in his contract) (although they reportedly like Quentin Grimes). Picks are everything, especially unprotected picks. Since the Lakers' two picks (2027 and 2029), which are most likely unprotected, could be combined with the Knicks' picks (two unprotected, three protected) to give Utah more of what it wants, the Jazz is reportedly the ones pushing for the Lakers to be involved in a three-team trade. Reddish, Bojan Bogdanovic, Malik Beasley, and Jordan Clarkson might all return for the Lakers. It's unclear if the Lakers will part with two unprotected picks in exchange for those players (and getting rid of Russell Westbrook).
The Lakers
The Lakers, who signed Lonnie Walker IV this offseason, are taking chances on potential but underwhelming wings.
It's also important to know that Reddish's agent is Rich Paul, who also represents Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

Reddish to the Lakers for Donovan Mitchell may not materialize, but it's worth watching to see who the winners and losers are.
