IndyCar standings following the Indianapolis road course: In the NTT IndyCar Series, Alexander Rossi broke a winless drought of 49 races on Saturday by taking the Gallagher Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
On June 23, 2019, at Road America, Rossi earned his eighth career triumph, 1,133 days after his previous one.
Rossi, who has four more races with Andretti Autosport before switching to Arrow McLaren SP, said, "It's a relief, dude." It's been a lot of things for a very long time. Fortunately, something went our way.
Christian Lundgaard, a rookie, lost to Rossi by 3.5441 seconds. Will Power finished third and outscored Marcus Ericsson by nine points to take the championship lead.
