Richard Sherman told the NFL team, Steve Wyche, on Tuesday that he will be joining Prime Video on Thursday night football this season's cover. However, the 34-year-old veteran winger has not ruled out a possible return to the game, which has caused his retirement to be postponed for the time being.
"No, no, I keep leaving that door open as long as I can," Sherman told Wyche. "I will continue to train and stay fit, but I have to take risks when they are there, and this is an excellent opportunity so I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
"But I'll leave that door open; if anyone wants to call at the end of December and needs help, I'll be happy to help."
Sherman will work on Amazon Prime Video shows before halftime and after games on Thursday nights, joining Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez, Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit as the top names to headline the first season of the live broadcast. TNF coverage.
"I think it's important that players continue to push the game forward and educate audiences with real experience and real thinking and trying to get even deeper into the game," Sherman said, explaining his decision to release it. "I think you try to simplify it as much as possible for them, but the more informed and educated the public is, the better the experience will be. You want to help them understand their team, why this relegation happened, why this big race happened, and why this objection happened; I think I can do that."
Sherman enters the next phase of his career with a great legacy. Sherman, a five-time Pro Bowler and three-time All-Pro thrived in the back corner just as his Seattle Seahawks star emerged in the first half of the past decade. The former fifth-round pick out of Stanford University was a vital part of the stifling Seattle defence that helped the Seahawks to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances in the 2013 and 2014 seasons, winning Super Bowl XLVIII in an impressive performance and dominant against the formidable Denver Broncos.
