Sandy Alcantara and Julio Urias
The discussion ignited in the last weeks of the regular season with arguments worth reviewing to know the best pitcher of the year.
Sandy Alcantara and Julio Urias gave seasons worthy of the Cy Young Award.
It is heartbreaking where Luis Miguel lives at 49 years old Investment Guru.
Julio Urías has been suspended for 20 games by the Major League office.
The 2022 MLB season is in its final stretch and the regular season numbers are about to close; the exact figures with which the winners will be determined in the following awards season. One of the most difficult decisions will be in the National League Cy Young Award since Sandy Alcántara, and Julio Urías have presented more than worthy campaigns to be recognized as the best pitcher on the circuit.
The case of Julio Urias
'El Culichi' had an unfortunate start to the season in which he went 3-6, most of those decisions due to the little support he received from the offense with an average of 2.10 runs in his first 12 games. The support began to grow until it surpassed the average of 8.0, and then the victories started to arrive for the Mexican southpaw.
After starting 3-6 with a 2.80 ERA in the first 12 games he pitched, Urias improved to posting video game numbers at 14-1 with a 1.70 ERA in his next 18 starts. In that same span, Alcantara had a 2.69 ERA.
"They can say anything," Urías said Sept. 28 when asked about not being considered for such Cy Young or All-Star honors.
It motivates me to continue giving what I have to give 100 percent and look for a championship, which is the main thing we all want as a team".
Urias might garner a few more votes than expected, given the amount of press covering the Dodgers compared to the Marlins.

Sandy Alcántara, the great favorite
In a season where he has positioned himself as the "obvious" choice thanks to outstanding performances, the Dominican Alcántara is the favorite to win the distinction of the best pitcher of the year in the National League.
Among his standout arguments are the six complete games he pitched throughout the season, more than any other Major League team, even with all of its pitchers combined. He did that with a team that will end the season with a losing record.
2021 Cy Young Award winner Corbin Burnes said of Alcantara and the Marlins.
