A half-court shooting competition is taking place between Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole. The Warriors teammates try their luck from mid-court at every practise and shoot around. Poole sank a half-court buzzer-beater to close the third quarter in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, putting all of his hard training to good use.
"We count it if you make one during the game," Curry remarked. "So he's in charge tonight."
Curry, known for being a helpful teammate, had a big smile as he celebrated Poole's basket. Curry was able to relax after that shot and begin preparing for his next effort in their shooting battle, which will take place this week in practice.
Curry sat out the fourth quarter as Golden State cruised to victory, but he still led the team with 29 points.
On the other hand, Green has a valid point regarding how Golden State's attack works. Curry is at the centre of it all, and opposition defences frequently dictate that. Four Celtics covered Curry at times on Sunday, which may have worn him down.
If only he weren't in such good shape. He'd have to play for more than 32 minutes if he had to.
This isn't the end of the story. Curry, on the other hand, is off to a great start. Regardless of how capable the Celtics appeared to be in slowing him down before the series, that's no longer the case. Curry is a superstar who is playing like one.
All he has to do now is keep doing what he's doing, and his team will win. It will not be simple. It'll almost certainly be challenging.
On the other hand, Curry has a clear route to improving his already fantastic game.
