All Jazz veterans must leave since the Salt Lake City blue light special sale is still going on.
Although Jordan Clarkson might be the first player traded, Bojan Bogdanovic is also receiving a lot of interest. The most recent information is from the well-connected John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM in Phoenix.
The final Jazz veteran, Bogdanovic, can send Utah a first-round selection in a trade. Last season, he scored 18.1 points on average per game, shot 38.7% from three, could make some secondary plays, and was versatile enough to play and defend both the three and the four. He could be plugged in and used by any club in the playoffs or contention.
On an expiring contract, Bogdanovic will make $19.6 million this year.
Bogdanovic would be an excellent fit for the Lakers on the court, and they have had a lot of interest in him, but would they give up their unprotected 2027 first-round selection to do so? There are only a few safeguards they can apply to that pick. It would also be challenging to match wages without this developing into a more considerable Russell Westbrook trade (which would require both Lakers picks). Dallas also faces some issues matching salaries, but the parties had previously discussed a potential agreement; now, they must find one without including the recently extended Maxi Kleber in the package.
Before the start of training camp and almost likely before the start of the season, Bogdanovic has a decent possibility of joining a new team. It remains to be seen which team will trade Utah a first-round pick for him (or will anyone).
