Jae Crowder
Jae Crowder is openly seeking a trade out of Phoenix. In addition to the league-wide speculations that persisted throughout the summer, he also pinned an Instagram comment regarding the Heat dealing for Crowder. According to numerous sources, the Suns will likely give Cam Johnson a large portion of Crowder's playing time this year in order to gain more shooting opportunities, and Phoenix is one of the teams interested in a Bojan Bogdanovic trade with Utah.
The Suns are in talks with teams about trading Crowder, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst on NBA Today (hat tip to BasketballNews.com).
They have been conducting business pretty actively over the past week, according to Windhorst. They are currently engaged in trade negotiations. Jae Crowder is at the center of many of them. A player who is currently on the market is Jae Crowder.
P.J. Tucker left
After P.J. Tucker left, the Heat are searching for help at the four and are interested in Crowder (as well as Bogdanovic). Duncan Robinson from Miami might provide Phoenix with additional shooting. The Suns would need to include another player, such as Cameron Payne or Torey Craig, and would probably require a selection of Nikola Jovic, a rookie, from the Heat as well in order for that to work.
After Danilo Gallinari suffered an ACL injury, Boston is seeking depth at the four. Crowder is interested in a trade with Boston, but it would be challenging to match the wages. According to rumors, Cam Reddish would be offered in any trade to New York. To match the pay, they would need to add additional players, though (Obi Toppin works but is too steep a price, Immanuel Quickley also works but the Knicks should be hesitant to trade good young players for the 32-year-old Crowder).
By the start of the season, Crowder is likely to be with a different squad. In this instance, the athlete and the team are both prepared to end their romance.
