Naomi Osaka US Open
Naomi Osaka must find a new coach for the US Open, as Wim Fissette announced the end of their collaboration after three years together.
The experienced Belgian coach confirmed on social networks that he would not continue with the Japanese tennis player. The relationship between the two was successful initially, as Osaka captured two of her four Grand Slam titles under Fissette. But last year, the results of the former number 1 in the world declined, and her presence in tournaments decreased due to personal decisions.
Fissette
Fissette is one of the most successful coaches in women's tennis. She rose to fame coaching Kim Clijsters on her first comeback when she won three of her four Grand Slams. He then coached Sabine Lisicki, whom he accompanied to the Wimbledon final. He guided Simona Halep to her first Roland Garros final and number 2 in the world ranking. He then trained.
Victoria Azarenka
Victoria Azarenka won Indian Wells and Miami in 2016 before becoming pregnant. Johana Konta had the best year of her career alongside Fissette in 2017, breaking into the top 10 of the WTA. And Angie Kerber won Wimbledon, her last Grand Slam, at the hands of the Belgian.
