On Friday, Prince had his first court appearance in Miami-Dade and was given a $2,500 bond. According to his defense attorney David Weinstein, the charge was based on a small amount of marijuana discovered during a traffic stop in Tarrant County, Texas, and was already being dropped there. According to Weinstein, Prince was unaware that authorities had obtained a warrant for the low-level offense.
Judge Mindy Glazer
Weinstein told Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer, "If he had known warrant existed, he would have surrendered."
Judge Glazer instructed Prince to go back to Texas and handle the warrant.
