Some required salary cap space is created by the Patriots as they move toward training camp.
Field Yates of ESPN says that the team has restructured the center deal of David Andrew. They converted $3.15 million of compensation for David Andrew for the season of 2022 into an agreed bonus.
The move made $2.1 million in cap space. As per the most current salary cap report of NFLPA, the Patriots had fewer than $200,000 in cap space, so the change generates money they will require if they want to make any moves during the season.
The contract of David Andrew with the Patriots passes through the season of 2024. Last season he began all 17 games for the Patriots and should do it similar this year as long as he stays strong.
