Montreal Harrell
The fact that Montreal Harrell still has a felony marijuana possession arrest hanging over him in Kentucky makes him perhaps the best frontcourt player available as a free agent.
Chris Hayne
Several reports state that the felony will change to a misdemeanour via Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes.
The previous Sixth Man of the Year can now sign a free agent contract with a team.
Washington sent Harrell to Charlotte
Washington sent Harrell to Charlotte at the previous season's deadline, but he was a productive 67.2 per cent true shooter who averaged 13.1 points and 6.1 rebounds per game off the bench. Harrell plays hard, stays in his lane and plays to his skills, and is a great pick-and-roll big who is excellent on the glass. He is an innings eater that may benefit many teams throughout the regular season. Although he is not a terrific defender, he does not stretch the floor, and in the postseason, his job could perhaps disappear; for the first 82 games, he can be counted on to contribute every night.
If Harrell soon finds a new NBA home, don't be shocked.
