Tennessee has chosen to use a young punter.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Titans have notified veteran punter Brett Kern that they are dismissing him.
Ryan Stonehouse, a rookie who went undrafted, has thus been selected to punt.
Jon Robinson
Jon Robinson, the general manager, has previously stated that selecting a punter would be a "difficult decision." After joining the team in 2009, Kern has been with Tennessee the longest. In 14 games last season, he punted, averaging 44.8 yards.
In 2017, 2018, and 2019, Kern was selected for three Pro Bowls.
Buffalo
Buffalo, which needs a punter after firing Matt Araiza, is one obvious prospective destination for Kern. Since Kern was born and raised in Western New York, signing with the Bills would be a homecoming.
Titans are cutting safety Adrian Colbert
According to Schefter as well, the Titans are cutting safety Adrian Colbert. He joined Tennessee earlier this month after playing for the Jets and Browns in 2021.
