This summer seems to be unlike any other, with Erling Haaland already committing to Manchester City, Kylian Mbappe remaining at PSG (for the time being), Sadio Mane departing from Liverpool, and a host of other superstars in high demand and considering transfers.
The past 18 months saw only a few transfers, but now there is a flurry of activity.

According to the rumor, Chelsea would also trade Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta to Barcelona before spending $82 million for the Dutch midfielder. De Jong, 25, has been linked to Manchester United throughout the summer, but he doesn't seem eager to play for a group outside the UEFA Champions League.
N'Golo Kante and Jorginho are nearing the conclusion of their careers. Therefore, as Chelsea participates in the Champions League, Thomas Tuchel must look to the future.
The Catalan club has recently gushed about the Man City and Portugal star, and the article also claims that Barca would move for Bernardo Silva if they trade De Jong.
The primary concern right now is De Jong's desire to leave Barcelona.
He has so far said that he is content with his situation at Barca, but club president Joan Laporta and his manager Xavi keep putting pressure on him.

Brighton notified Man City on Sunday that, without a $60 million offer, there would be no more discussions over the 24-year-old Spanish international.
This has (roughly) been Brighton's position on Cucurella throughout the summer, and it appears that nothing has changed due to the transfer request. Newcastle United has submitted a $48.7 million bid for the 25-year-old offensive midfielder to Leicester after being made aware of the circumstance. The agent of RB Salzburg attacker Benjamin Sesko allegedly spoke with Manchester United's sporting director John Murtagh. Sesko, a 19-year-old striker from Slovenia, is Salzburg's next big thing after scoring in their recent preseason victory over Liverpool.
The youngster is incredibly talented. The Manchester Evening News said that Salzburg wanted more than $66 million for Sesko. Although it appears that United cannot afford that price, this link may indicate that they are searching for a new forward and potentially a breakthrough in the Ronaldo problem.
This demonstrates that Sesko matches Erik ten Hag's strategy of recruiting some of the best young talents in Europe. According to various sources, Man City and Brighton have not yet agreed on a transfer fee. This most recent development claims that there is still a "huge difference" between the two teams' assessments of Cucurella. Oleksandr Zinchenko's successor by Pep Guardiola is expected to come from Brighton,
and the Seagulls are aware that Man City has money to spend after selling Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, and Zinchenko this summer.

Will Cucurella lead Man City into every game?
