Reports covering the Buccaneers' practice on Friday morning observed something strange.
Tom Brady, the quarterback, wasn't in action. However, it seems unnecessary to panic. According to several media, Brady has reportedly been excused from the meeting to handle a personal situation.
Given that Brady is familiar with and experienced with Byron Leftwich's offensive scheme, his absence shouldn't cause too much concern at this stage of training camp. Brady's physique may also benefit from a couple of back-to-back days off.
Both he and the Buccaneers as a whole missed practicing on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
With Brady out, Kyle Trask, who Tampa Bay drafted in the second round of last year, may see more action. On Wednesday, head coach Todd Bowles claimed to have noticed Trask become more at ease with the offence.
According to Bowles, he is grasping what is going on and is confident in his direction. He is being exposed to several scenarios where he is gaining experience. Right now, it is all we can ask for.
