The former defensive tackle of the NFL, Tony Siragusa, died on Wednesday and was 55 years old;
he was recalled by team members for the leading role he played in the Super Bowl XXXV championship performing under the Ravens.
"This is a difficult one," told through Ray Lewis, Hall of Fame linebacker. "I love Goose, similar to a brother. 1st day we met , I knew that life was not similar. I knew he was anyone who would forever change my entire life. He was a one-of-a-unique man who made you feel significant and exceptional. You can never swap a person like that. On the ground, he was the eventual challenger who brought out the greatest in all of us. We should never keep things for tomorrow what we can perform at this moment. Embrace your loved ones for Goose."
Sam Adams, the defensive tackle told,
who played alongside Tony Siragusa in the centre of the defensive line of the Ravens, "It was glory and honour to align next to Tony Siragusa. He arranged the game as fun, and he was an actual challenger. Our D-line room was exceptional on and off the ground. May he rest in peace, and may God bless and keep his family happy."
Rod Woodson, defensive back of the Hall of Fame, said,
"Tony Siragusa was always the major part of the party. I know his life is all about his family and friends. Right now, my emotions are overwhelmed with grief for his family."
Matt Stover of the Ravens said,
"I am sorrowful to leave such a best team member and a friend. I firmly believe that the Super Bowl XXXV team would have never been as great as it was without Tony Siragusa. He not only plugged up the centre, but his locker room existence created a losing atmosphere when things were compact. He will be remembered, but not forgotten."
