After the PGA Tour season in August, Nick Faldo will leave the Sports booth, he said in a statement on Tuesday.
In his 16th season as the top analyst, Faldo will cover his final match at the Wyndham Championship from August 4–7.
Trevor Immelman, a previous winner of the Masters, will take over Faldo's spot in the booth.
One of the most talented commentators to ever occupy the 18th tower, Sir Nick, has had a spectacular career on network television for close to 20 years, according to Chairman Sean McManus. "Nick brought to our broadcasts the same drive and commitment that made him the No. 1 golfer in the world. He enlightened viewers and improved our coverage by fusing his extensive golf knowledge with his wit and charm. His influence on golf will continue to grow, even if his voice will be missed on the air.
Immelman, 42, has been working since 2019 and will join Jim Nantz in the 18th tower full-time.
Immelman, who won the 2008 Masters and is this year's International Presidents Cup captain, was praised by McManus for his "credentials, experience as a major champion, and a unique viewpoint and knowledge of today's stars, having just competed alongside them."
Faldo, who will turn 65 in a month, claimed that he told McManus in Pebble Beach earlier this year that he planned to leave the sports channel after his current contract. He declared that in addition to "increasing the reach and growth of my ever-growing worldwide golf course design firm," he will "entertain other options and partnerships."
