Purple is back in Utah.
The Jazz is bringing back the purple mountain garbs that were a pillar in the Stockton/Malone time and presently say purple will be a "foundation" for the group's pullovers, courts and more later on.
"Purple is back and setting down deep roots," said Jim Olson, leader of the Utah Jazz. "This uniform assortment includes the arrival of our foundation variety purple, which will be essential to our new plans in future Jazz seasons. Purple is darling by our fan base and lives at the centre of our character. Close by our recently painted courts, these new yet recognisable looks address our extraordinary history and dynamic future."
The Jazz uncovered four pullovers they will wear next season: The purple mountain shirt, a white shirt with the Jazz b-ball note as the highlight, a dark uniform with UTAH across the chest, and a yellow uniform with JAZZ on the chest.
I hope to see the Jazz b-ball note utilised significantly more unmistakably later.
The uniform is probably only a rare example of things that will be different when the Jazz take the court next season, including another mentor (that search is progressing).
