Nick Mullens
Nick Mullens, a senior quarterback, is moving once more.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Raiders have moved Mullens to the Vikings in exchange for a conditional seventh-round draught selection.
Mullens traveled a lot after playing his first four NFL seasons in San Francisco. He spent time in Philadelphia and Cleveland last year, signed with Las Vegas this year, and was then dealt to Minnesota last week.
Mullens, who has made 17 starts in his NFL career, might overcome Sean Mannion and Kellen Mond to take the No. 2 quarterback spot behind Kirk Cousins on the Vikings depth chart.
Josh McDaniels in New England
Mullens' departure will probably solidify Jarrett Stidham's position as Derek Carr's backup quarterback in Las Vegas. Stidham has experience playing under Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels in New England, so he entered training camp with a solid understanding of the scheme. He will now serve as the backup quarterback for the Raiders if Carr is injured.
