Switzerland
Switzerland made their fans proud with what the Blick newspaper called an "honorable defeat" against Sweden on the last matchday; a verdict echoed in the Tages-Anzeiger headline: "They lost the game, but they gained a lot of respect." Needing a win to qualify.
The Netherlands are European champions.
The Netherlands are European champions, but if they haven't been at their best so far, they certainly have reason to justify it: Sari van Veenendaal and Aniek Nouwen were seriously injured in their first match, while their star striker Vivianne Miedema missed out. the second game due to illness (from which Jackie Groenen has now recovered), as well as Stefanie van der Grant receiving a blow to the nose while scoring in a 3–2
"We keep getting hit in the face, and we keep coming back stronger," says coach Mark Parsons, whose team needs to avoid defeat to qualify.
The Netherlands has been a tough team for Switzerland lately, beating them in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup play-offs and also in the 2016 Olympics qualifying tournament.
