Fully guaranteed at signing is a sum of $19.25 million in the agreement.
With two years remaining on their current contracts, Waller joins defensive tackles Aaron Donald of the Rams and Jake Matthews of the Falcons as the three other players in their 30s to obtain extensions for $17 million or more on average.
The highest salary for a tight end is $6.375 million, which Waller is owed for being on the active roster.
The $735,294 annual payout for the 17th game was not included in the contract. The new-money average drops to $16.75 million as a result.
