SERENA WILLIAMS
Serena was back at Wimbledon but LOST her first-round singles match at the All England Club.
The 40-year-old American idol has won the women's singles title seven times, most recently in 2016.
But she was kicked out of the grass-court Grand Slam at the first hurdle in 2022 after losing to Harmony Tan.
Why does Serena Williams wear duct tape on her face during games?
Eagle-eyed fans have seen Williams wearing black band-aids or medical tape across his face when he plays.
Some followers had no idea what was the reason behind this mysterious tape.
While reports suggest the American icon suffers from sinus problems, wearing them relieves the pressure.
Which is a medical problem that Serena confirmed in 2007.
What did Serena Williams say?
In 2007, Serena reached out to journalists to launch a sinus medicine campaign and help spread awareness about it.
The legendary tennis star said: "My secret is out. I suffer from sinusitis. Playing tennis or pretty much-doing anything every day is not easy when you have sinusitis."
"You feel a lot of pressure, congestion, and pain, and the training of the Grand Slams, like the ones coming up like Wimbledon and the French Open, is not easy.
"It is not easy to play when you have all this pressure. The last thing I want to do is go out on a tennis court, play against (sister) Venus, and be tired. That's not fun, especially against her; she's so tough.
