New Jersey is coming off a 29-18 triumph over the Pittsburgh Maulers on Friday night, which was the team's eighth straight victory. RB With 87 rushing yards and a season-high three rushing touchdowns, Darius Victor once again dominated on the ground. This season, Victor has the most rushing yards (524) and rushing touchdowns (9) in the league. RB Trey Williams rushed for 66 yards on 12 carries, and KaVontae Turpin caught five passes for 83 yards and a touchdown.
Panthers of Michigan
After a 46-24 loss to the Philadelphia Stars on Sunday afternoon, the Michigan Panthers (1-7) were officially eliminated from playoff contention. Several Panthers players were hurt throughout the game and were unable to continue.
Tre Williams, an edge rusher, was stretchered off the field and sent to the University of Alabama-Birmingham medical centre with an undisclosed injury. Sean Pollard of the offensive line and Reggie Corbin of the running backs exited the game with injuries to their right ankles and elbows. Quarterback Paxton Lynch completed 27 of 40 passes for 251 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions despite the loss.
