Nathan Chen, the Olympic figure skating champion, will release a memoir in November.
Per an Amazon description, One Move at a Time:
My Story describes the tale of his impressive way to the top, mirroring his living as a Chinese American skater.
The pleasures and difficulties he has faced — along with the immense sacrifices he and his parents made, as well as the physical and social pain he has endured.
Chen became the first American single skater to achieve Olympic gold, following Evan Lysacek in 2010, four years after failing to medal as a favourite at the Olympics.
Chen, a 23-year-old who has achieved significant grand championships and six premierships, wants to return to Yale later this fall and recently announced that he does not expect to participate next season and is unsure if he would ever compete again.
The fall Grand Prix Series assignments have yet to be confirmed.
