Seahawks coach Pete Carroll
After Monday night's victory over the Broncos, Seahawks coach Pete Carroll sounded as though he felt vindicated after listening to naysayers during the offseason.
Carroll acknowledged that Russell Wilson and the Broncos were a formidable opponent for the Seahawks and praised his team for rising to the occasion.
According to Carroll, nobody predicted we would prevail in the football game. It simply shows you what a great job everyone did as a team to win this game and play it intelligently and well. The football game last night was fantastic.
Carroll acknowledged the boisterous Seattle supporters
"The 12s were so terrific tonight; the fans were ridiculous. God, they were fantastic. Carroll said, "I'm so happy we could give them a game like this, and they could have that much pleasure. We're so fortunate to be able to play here and that our supporters adore it so much.
The Seahawks, thought to be long bets for the playoffs before the season, are suddenly the only 1-0 club in the NFC West and alone in the first place.
